Case: Sigrow

Optimising greenhouses through wireless sensors

Sigrow manufactures wireless sensor technology for horticulture. Sigrow’s platform provides valuable insights for greenhouse growers to discover the optimal growing conditions for their plants.

Innovative sensor technology
Sigrow’s wireless sensors can detect changes in temperature, humidity, light intensity and other environmental factors that affect the growth of plants. By using this data, greenhouse operators can make timely adjustments to optimise the environment inside the greenhouse. This helps them increase yields while reducing energy costs and improving crop quality.
Sigrow helps growers can find hidden bottlenecks, detect fluctuations and consequently ensure optimal climate conditions in the greenhouse. Using sensor data, they can also advise on climate data, water/energy consumption and optimal soil composition.

LTE-M connectivity
Every grower needs to have a clear picture of what is occurring in their greenhouse in order to increase quality and production. This is why Sigrow presents this cutting-edge wireless sensor technology. Especially, as operations scale, greenhouse production becomes more sensitive fluctuations in the greenhouse.

Using secure LTE-M SIM cards, the future-proof successor to 2G, Sigrow’s sensors are equipped with independent and stable internet access. The coverage of LTE-M SIM cards is stronger than that of a 2G network and has the advantage of deeper penetration, significantly extending coverage in greenhouse complexes.

Collaboration with Sigrow
We provide ‘data as a service’, via LTE M SIM cards, for Sigrow’s sensors. This means that Sigrow always can monitor the conditions in their customer’s greenhouses at all times and can guarantee that those greenhouses are always connected.
