NIKO is a Belgian smart home company specialising in, among other things, energy management with an IoT gateway for net-zero homes. NIKO offers an IoT-powered one-stop-shop solution for energy management including sensors, an IoT gateway, a management portal and an app for the housing corporation sector in Belgium and the Netherlands.

The households that are equipped with this IoT gateway have independent and stable internet access via secure multi-network M2M SIMs. Even in remote parts of the Netherlands, we provide a reliable connection to the NIKO cloud. NIKO’s intelligent energy management system offers real-time insight into energy consumption, full control over all energy flows (including gas, electricity, water and HVAC systems) and one central platform to monitor and manage multiple building sites.
Increasing the efficiency of solar panels and other energy systems not only reduces an ecological footprint, but also saves money. The energy management system maximises the use of self-generated power by actively managing devices and/or machines in their net-zero home. The system prioritises activities that depend on the sun, whilst delaying those that do not. Simple and automatic.
